UC Day 2006

Following the release of the governor's 2006-07 budget, UCLA will hold a Sacramento workshop on March 7. The workshop will give alumni exposure to the interaction between the University of California, the governor and state legislature.

• Learn about the challenges facing the University from senior UCLA and UC officials
• Hear about issues affecting California from elected officials and administration staff
• Interact with members of the legislature and the governor's office
• Build necessary skills to be an effective advocate for UCLA
• Gain valuable experience in legislative meetings at the state capitol

Learn the tools of government advocacy, and then apply them in meetings with officials who decide UC's budget.
