  Fraternities and sororities have been an integral part of the UCLA campus for over 85 years. Attend a council orientation session and find out about Greek Life at UCLA and how you can participate in recruitment activities.  At the orientations, you will get a chance to make contact with the recruitment chairperson from each organization, which will give you a head start in determining the organization that is right for you. You will also be given a brief overview of what Greek Life is all about and what it has to offer.

Tuesday, Sept. 25

• After Hours Sale-a-Bration and Casino Night

  Start the new academic year with an evening of fun activities and special deals at the UCLA Store and Cooperage Restaurant. It’s our first sale event of the year, and your first chance to stock up on Bruin gear for football season. Plus get great discounts on back-to-school merchandise. Enjoy a special deal at the Cooperage, and try your hand at the Texas Hold ’Em tournament and casino-style games without spending a dime.

  Learn what 36 UCLA Club Sports Teams have to offer during this festive sports extravaganza. Watch demonstrations, participate in pick-up games with Ultimate, Rugby, Soccer and others. Learn to shoot a bow and arrow with the Archery team or to fence properly with the Fencing team. Socialize with current club members, grab a snow cone or a bag of popcorn and enjoy these fun activities hosted by the Club Sports Executive Council! Everyone is welcome!   Try sailing and kayaking at the Marina Aquatic Center for FREE! Transportation is provided with buses departing for the MAC from the stop sign on Charles E. Young Drive at the north end of the North Athletic Field at 11 a.m. and returning to campus at 4 p.m. UCLA residents with a meal plan can pick up a box lunch at breakfast in the dining halls and enjoy the scenic ocean front during their noontime meal. • Bruin Challenge
  6-8 p.m. (register between 5:30-5:50 p.m.)
  Intramural Field
  Take part in the 1st Annual Bruin Challenge! Same day registration starts at 5:30 p.m. on the IM Field. A representative must register the team (event is limited to the first 40 teams to register). Each team should have 6-8 members (minimum three male and three female members required). To ensure safe participation, participants are encouraged to wear sneakers (no flip-flops) and clothes that may get wet and/or slightly messy.
  
  The event format is a cross between Nickelodeon’s kids show Double Dare and MTV’s Road Rules and includes a variety of fun, “non-traditional” activities involving water balloons, eggs and toilet paper!
