WHO ARE WE?
The Rose Bowl Bruins is a regional alumni group formed in 1982 when UCLA Football moved to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. This move provided a great opportunity to create a new alumni support group in the area.
Since our inception, we have been dedicated to supporting the greater interests of the University and connecting local alumni to campus. Members of the Rose Bowl Bruins actively participate in community service projects, scholarship activities, and cultural, athletic, networking and family events that support UCLA and meet the interests of our local alumni. Past events include:
• "Meet Your Legislator" Receptions and Tailgate Parties
• Cultural Events at Local Museums and Historic Sites
• Networking Nights and Mixers
• Family Events
• Day at the Races (Santa Anita)
• Annual Regional Club & Chapter Basketball Brunch & Game
Our signature event is our annual Kick-Off Party held the Friday night before the first home Bruin football game. This event raises money for the Rose Bowl Bruins' Scholarship Fund, which awards two scholarships each year to deserving UCLA undergraduates from the Greater Pasadena area.
OUR MEMBERSHIP
The Rose Bowl Bruins' membership is drawn from the communities of Bradbury, Monrovia, Duarte, El Monte, Rosemead, Temple City, San Marino, San Gabriel, Alhambra, South Pasadena, Pasadena, Arcadia, Sierra Madre, Altadena, Sunland, Montrose, La Crescenta, La Cañada-Flintridge, Eagle Rock, Los Feliz and parts of Glendale.
