Bruin Brunch Club
Date: March 14, 2010 Details: Washington DC is home to so many great restaurants, why not visit some in the company of fellow Bruins? NOTE - Our first brunch was a smashing success, thanks to all of those who could join us at Matchbox! We are very excited to be making this a regular event. Our next brunch will take place at Tabard Inn, located near Dupont Circle and less than a block away from the metro station. Bruin Book Club: Where Men Win Glory: The Oddysey of Pat Tillman
Date: April 11, 2010 Details: The network has started back up our book club for alumni in the Washington DC area - and its full steam ahead! Meeting on a monthly basis, you will have the opportunity to read the suggested book and then come join the group for good company and conversation. Book recommendations are always welcome. Next Meeting: Sunday, April 11. Book: 'Where Men Win Glory: The Oddysey of Pat Tillman' by Jon Krakauer "Pat Tillman walked away from a multimillion-dollar NFL contract to join the Army and become an icon of post-9/11 patriotism. When he was killed in Afghanistan two years later, he became a tool for White House propaganda. Thus a legend was born. Hands on DC - Community Service Event
Date: May 15, 2010 Details: Join the DC Bruins team at the May 15th 'Hands on DC' work-a-thon as we help fix up a local DC public school! Last year, our volunteer team did some beautiful painting at Roosevelt School. This is a great opportunity to give back and be part of the DC community. 2010 Race for the Cure - UCLA Team
Date: June 5, 2010 Details: Join together with fellow Bruins here in DC to participate in this wonderful opportunity to support breast cancer awareness and research. Bruins at the Ballpark - S.F. Giants @ Washington Nationals
Date: July 10, 2010 Details: It wouldn't be summer in DC without a baseball game at Nationals stadium. And this provides an opportunity to see one of our favorite West Coast teams (unless you're a Dodger fan) - the San Francisco Giants! Game time is currently set for 7pm. 2nd Annual UCLA Alumni, Family and Friends Picnic

1st Annual Washington DC Alumni Network Scholarship Gala
Date: November 6, 2010 Details: The UCLA Alumni Network of Washington DC is in the initial phase of developing a signature winter event for our community. The Scholarship Gala will allow local alumni the opportunity to give back to UCLA through attending this premiere event.
