ALL-UC Schools Career Night at the UCDC Center, Monday, August 2 from 6:30 - 8 p.m.
Date: August 2, 2010 Details: Are you a UC alum in a career field of potential interest to current students and willing to talk about it? If so, please join us for Career Night at the UCDC Center. Eager UC students - especially Bruins! - would love to hear what you have to say and ask you questions. This is also a great opportunity to connect with other alumni in the area who will be present. Kayaking on the Potomac
Date: August 15, 2010 Details: Come join fellow DC Bruins for a fun day of kayaking on the Potomac, starting at Jack's Boathouse on the waterfront in Georgetown. Bruin Brunch Club: Red Rock Pizzeria
Date: August 21, 2010 Details: Washington DC is home to so many great restaurants, why not visit some in the company of fellow Bruins? Since beginning this event, we have gone to locations such as Matchbox, Tabard Inn, and Belga Cafe. We are very excited to be making this a regular event. For our next brunch, UCLA Brunch Club is venturing to Columbia Heights for the best pizza brunch in town and bottomless mimosas. UCLA Football Season Kickoff - UCLA @ Kansas State
Date: September 4, 2010 Details: An exciting season of UCLA football is just around the corner, and the DC Network is ready for it! Please join us at our NEW official game-watching location, Madhatter in Dupont Circle. The bar is at 1319 Connecticut Avenue and right off the Dupont Metro Station. Our game-viewings will feature great drink specials and promotions just for UCLA fans! The Season Kick-off this year features UCLA traveling to Kansas State and should be a great match-up with a start time of 3:30pm EST. Bruin Book Club
Date: September 14, 2010 Details: The network has started back up our book club for alumni in the Washington DC area - and its full steam ahead! Meeting on a monthly basis, you will have the opportunity to read the suggested book and then come join the group for good company and conversation. Book recommendations are always welcome. UCLA Football Roadtrip: Texas
Date: September 25, 2010 Details: Last year, the DC Network brought several dozen Bruins to Knoxville and watched the team beat the Volunteers. This year we have an even greater road trip before us - a journey to Austin to take on the Longhorns! If you are interested in getting information on game tickets and hotel room options, please contact us. There are still a lot of details to be worked out, but we do encourage you to book your flight to Austin as soon as possible if you plan on making the game. Stay tuned!
