LUNCHEON/DINNER SCHEDULE, 2007-08
You won't want to miss a single one of the great programs in our upcoming 2007-2008 season!
The speakers who highlight our Affiliates' programs for the coming year constitute an extraordinary lineup. All Affiliates members will receive an invitation to each event several weeks in advance. All meetings will be held at the UCLA Faculty Center. Luncheons take place at noon with an 11:30 AM Pre-lunch Reception; Dinners take place at 6:45 PM, with a Pre-dinner Reception at 6.

For all events: Parking is available for $8 in UCLA Lot 2, just south of the Faculty Center. Use the Hilgard/Westholme entrance and tell the kiosk attendant you are with The Affiliates.

The Affiliates Scholarship Program, established in 1948, has grown in the amount of support it offers to students as well as in the diversity of the awards. In 2004, The Affiliates awarded over $100,000 in scholarships across a full range of disciplines in recognition of academic excellence. | Were the Works of Shakespeare Written by a Woman? |
Date: May 15, 2008 Details: Noted speaker and author Robin Williams has done extensive research pointing to the most likely author of all the Shakespearean works to be Mary Sidney Herbert, Countess of Pembroke. She will discuss her thesis as described in her award-winning book, Sweet Swan of Avon: Did a Woman Write Shakespeare? Patio reception, 11:30; luncheon/lecture at noon in the Faculty Center.
