Overview

Volunteers are a vital component of Alumni Scholarships. Since the genesis of Alumni Scholarships in 1936, alumni volunteers have been an integral part of this signature Alumni Association program. Every year more than 550 alumni participate in various scholarship programs, by screening applications and selecting scholarship recipients.
Alumni may choose one or more scholarship volunteer opportunities based on their interests. Some like the excitement of meeting eager and energetic high school seniors. Others like helping students transfer to UCLA from other colleges. Opportunities exist on the UCLA campus, at locations throughout California and in other regions. Many volunteers serve on scholarship committees for years; some aspire to leadership roles.
Find a scholarship opportunity that interests you. Enjoy the experience of meeting fellow alumni and bright student applicants, while giving back to the University in a tangible way. Find your own role in this Alumni Association tradition.
