Ken Nagy joined the UCLA Department of Biology in 1971, having earned his Ph.D. from UC Riverside in ecology and physiology of desert animals. He has conducted field research on mammals, birds and reptiles on all seven continents, and has taught field courses in the U.S., Mexico and Australia. He has received two distinguished teaching awards and won three Fulbright Fellowships. Nagy’s research interests include the eco-physiology and behavior of Australian marsupials and conservation biology of threatened and endangered animals.
