About the Trip
Many “lower 48” travelers have seen Alaska in the summer, but they miss the state’s full grandeur and majesty. See the greatest light show on Earth, the Aurora Borealis, as we experience the great beauty of Alaska in winter. From Anchorage, we will travel through spectacular mountains to Seward and the Alaska Sea Life Center, and then take the classic train journey to Fairbanks for the annual World of Ice Art Festival. We will visit the Geophysical Institute at University of Alaska and bask in the glorious Aurora Borealis from Mt. Aurora and Creamer’s Field.
