About the Trip

Newfoundland, Canada’s easternmost province and the world’s 15th largest island is an often overlooked travel destination and still a largely untamed wilderness. Renowned for its rich history, glorious scenery, and abundant marine and other wildlife, Newfoundland is a unique region that rivals any setting. Our journey begins from Newfoundland’s historic seaport and capital, St. John’s, where we travel to Cape Spear National Historic Site and the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve. Embark Clelia II and visit several islands off the Newfoundland coast as well as the mainland of Labrador. We’ll explore Twillingate Island, with dramatic Long Point Lighthouse; Red Bay, once the whaling capital of the world; and charming St.-Pierre on the French archipelago of St.-Pierre and Miquelon.
