Los Angeles Edition

Dear [[first_name]],

A great college experience isn’t defined solely by lecture halls and laboratories – it encompasses self-discovery and understanding our roles in a rich and diverse community. The UCLA Student Affairs staff helps students on that journey in a rapidly changing world. From the more than 90% of our first- and second-year students who live in residence halls – a major change from just 10 years ago - to the thousands of commuters, we are here to serve today’s UCLA students. This fall, we’ve had the added – yet rewarding – challenge of helping students who have been displaced by the Gulf Coast disaster. I invite you to find out more about our projects and today’s students.

-- Janina Montero
Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs
